Rees, Germany

Rees, Germany

Rees is a town in the district of Cleves, in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The town was founded in 1228, making it the oldest town in the lower Rhine area. It has a population of about 22 000. There are many remains of the ancient city fortification, several casemates were restored and are open to public, like the one on the left side of the card. Thanks to Susanne.
