Mont Saint-Michel in Normandy, France
Mont Saint-Michel is a rocky tidal island in Normandy, it’s located one kilometer off the country’s northwestern coast. The island has a population of 44, as of 2009. Since the 8th AD century it has been the seat of the monastery of Saint-Michel. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is visited by more than 3 million tourists each year.
