Lake Kochel is located 70 km south of Munich on the edge of the Bavarian Alps. The lake was created during the last glacial period. There are several little settlements bordering the lake.

Leipzig is a big city in the state of Saxony, it is located 200 km south of Berlin. It has been a trade city since medieval times. During WWII, it was heavily bombed by British and American forces. In the St. Nicholas Church (pictured left-center) took place the famous Monday demonstrations, peaceful protests against the Communist regime. The Rathaus (town hall) is pictured in the bottom of the card. Thanks to Alina.
