The highest peak is Gerlach at 2 665 m. The Tatras lie in the temperate zone of Central Europe, they are an important barrier to the movements of air masses. There are several trails, Orla Perc is considered the most difficult, suitable for experienced climbers only, it lies in the Polish part of the Tatras. Thanks to Martina.

Bardejov, Slovakia

Bardejov, Slovakia

Bardejov is a small but exceptionally complete and well-preserved example of a fortified medieval town, which typifies the urbanisation in this region. Among other remarkable features, it also contains a small Jewish quarter around a fine 18th-century synagogue. It was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Site list in 2000.
