Cocotaxis at the entrance of Palacio de Artesanía, Havana, Cuba

Cocotaxis are a popular form of transportation in Havana, Cuba. It is a unique experience and you can get a different perspective of everything while riding through the streets. My girlfriend sent me this card on a recent trip we made to Cuba. It was sent from Old Havana. It took almost 2 months to arrive.

Here are some pictures from our trip to Cuba (hosted on Flickr)

Morro Castle in Havana, Cuba

Morro Castle in Havana, Cuba

Morro Castle is a fortress that guards the entrance to Havana bay in Cuba. It was built in 1589 by Juan Bautista Antonelli, an Italian engineer. Back then, Cuba was under the control of Spain. In 1762 it was captured by the British, in the Battle of Havana, part of the Seven Years’ War. Thanks to Nestor for this one.
