Chain Bridge, Budapest

The Széchenyi Chain Bridge is a suspension bridge that spans the River Danube between Buda and Pest, the western and eastern sides of Budapest. It was designed by English engineer William Tierney Clark and was the first permanent bridge across the Danube in Hungary. It opened in 1849. Thanks to Ágnes.

Debrecen is the second largest city of Hungary, only after the capital Budapest. It has a population of 210 000. Featured on this card is the Protestant Great Church, the largest of its type in the country. Construction began in 1805 and concluded in 1821, the towers are 61 meters high.
