Yusupov Palace, Crimea

 

The Yusupov Palace is located in the town of Koreiz, Crimea. It was built in 1909 for Prince Felix Yusupov (who participated in the murder of Rasputin). After the Russian Revolution of 1917, the palace was nationalized and served as Stalin’s favorite seasonal home.

This monument is located in Kiev to honor the memory of  Bohdan Khmelnytsky, who was an important part of the Ukrainian culture, some consider him a national hero but is also criticized for signing a treaty that led to the loss of independence to the Russian Empire.
