The Dome of Light, Kaohsiung, Taiwan

 

Kaohsiung is located in the southern part of Taiwan, it is the second largest city in the country. The Dome of Light is home to the MRT Station. (Mass Rapid Transit) Thanks to Ellie.

Taipei 101

 

This was the tallest building in the world from 2004 to 2010, when the Burj Khalifa in Dubai was completed. It has 101 floors and 5 underground and has a total height of 508 meters. It has become an icon of modern Taiwan. Thanks to Triya for the card.

 

Presidential Building, Taipei

 

The Presidential Building in Taipei was built in 1912 and completed in 1919, thanks to Karen for sending me this card.

 

Budai Statue in Keelung

 

Budai is a Chinese folkloric deity. He is usually shown laughing or smiling, and because of that it is called the Laughing Buddha. This statue is located in Keelung, a port in the northeastern part of  Taiwan. Thanks to Zahira for the card.
